Tractor Parts, Maintenance and Safety for Queer Farmers & Farmworkers (Chittenden County)

In this workshop, participants will learn the systems and parts of the tractor engine and its daily fluid checks.  We will cover how the entire tractor functions, including the hydraulic system, the transmission, the clutch, and the PTO.  We will begin to understand how to troubleshoot issues with the tractor and basic servicing. We will also see common implements and discuss their maintenance and attachment.  Participants will receive safety information and have a discussion on how to reduce tractor-related accidents. This workshop is ideal for new and seasoned operators looking to enhance their ability to maintain and repair tractors and implements.
