Farmer Panel: Farming for Resilient Communities and a Stable Climate (Online)
Description
Join a panel of farmers from around Vermont to learn how they are creating farming systems that are not only adapting to our changing climate, but are actively working to solve the climate crisis. We will hear stories from our panelists about how they have adapted to changing climate conditions and rapidly shifting market demands during the pandemic, as well as how they believe Vermont can support all farmers in developing systems that will help our communities thrive in the future.
This event is for farmers, policymakers, advocates, and anyone wanting to join the movement to build a thriving agricultural future.
Our panelists include:
- Evan Perkins, Small Axe Farm, East Ryegate
- Becky Maden, Singing Cedars Farmstead, Orwell
- Eric Paris, Tamarlane Farm, Lyndonville
- Stephen Leslie, Cedar Mountain Farm, Hartland
The panelists will be joined by NOFA-VT Executive Director Grace Oedel and Policy Director Maddie Kempner.
